Pere Ubu "The Tenement Year" cassette tape

$8.00

A great find from Cleveland’s greatest Post-Punk band (sorry Devo). This one, released five years after their initial break-up, is the transition from their artsy weirdness to the slightly less weird Alternative Rock that got them on MTV. David Thomas’ famous howl sounds almost pleasant at times and there’s surf guitar and catchy choruses that kind of sound like The Pixies. A lost gem that will send you back to the days when “Alternative” was not a genre or a brand.
