David Bowie "Earthling" cassette tape
The follow-up to “Outside” continues Bowie’s move into Electronica. The music is a good deal like its predecessor, with hints of Eno and Reznor. “I’m Afraid of Americans” was perhaps his last, no doubt about it, banging single. It’s positively essential. But don’t sleep on “Little Wonder” or “Dead Man Walking” — two highlights from this era. Maybe not as consistent as “Outside” but a very confident album and cogent from the extra terrestrial who was always most comfortable on earth. Tape in excellent vintage condition.
