John Lennon "Menlove Ave." cassette tape
Released in 1986, with supervision from Yoko, this album collects the best leftovers from the sessions for “Walls and Bridges” and “Rock 'n' Roll.” The songs are good to very good and the sound is excellent. The great, horrid, Phil Spector produced one side, which includes a loving cover of an old song by Rosie and the Originals and a second cover of Spector’s own “To Know Him is to Love Him.” The second side is most alternate versions of songs the Lennonphiles have previously heard, including “Old Dirt Road,” which he co-wrote with drug buddy, Harry Nilsson. Tape in very good vintage condition.
