Richard Thompson "Daring Adventures" cassette tape
This is Thompson, recoding again with Mitchell Froom, and again in L.A., trying to make something that could be “commercially successful.” The results made some older fans unhappy — it sounded too clean and too Americanized. But, thirty plus years later, it sounds pretty darn good to me. Everything is more character-driven here. But "Al Bowlly's in Heaven" and “How Will I ever be Simple Again” have both withstood the test of time. Cassette in very good vintage condition.
