The Bats "The Law of Things" cassette tape

A monument of the 80s Kiwi Rock scene. It was such a great find that I almost didn’t want to sell it, but my wife reminded me that we only have so much space for tapes here at home. Robert Scott and his group, alongside The Clean, defined the Flying Nun sound — jangly, deceptively simple, a little rough and fully sweet. This is music that is founded on a bedrock of The Velvets rather than The Beatles. More than a great artifact, it’s an almost perfect album. For fans of REM, The Feelies and New Zealand.
